WEEK OF WATERCOLOR! - SUNDAY

The week has come to an end...and so my last posting example for my Wonderful Week of Watercolor!
This has to be one of my favorites.  This again is just a simple loose coloring onto the image with the Watercolor Wonder Crayons (Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango) and then used the blender pen to pull the colors together.  I finished this rose off with a few dew drops by adding crystal effects to the petals.  I think this coloration works so beautifully with our new in color for this catalogue year, Calyspo Coral.  I could not resist adding 3 beautiful pearls as a final embellishment!
Have these last 7 days of wonderful watercoloring intrigued you?  Want to try this technique yourself and become an instant artist?  Tomorrow I will tell you how you can join me in Watercolor Wonder!

Happy Stampin!

WEEK OF WATERCOLOR! - SATURDAY

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday, I have plans to be outside, today is FINALLY supposed to be filled with sunshine!  I know most area's of Canada are experiencing summer, but here in Kelowna where good weather in the summer is usually the norm, it has not really hit us yet, so here's hoping!
I won't leave you today without an addition to my wonderful week of watercolor...
I wouldn't want you to think watercoloring was only for flowers!  Yes, I love flowers, but I also love the watercolor look on other images too.  This is such a great stamp.  It is from the Loads of Love stamp set.  I used a masking technique to design the card, stamping the trees with Old Olive ink and the truck and it's passengers with Staz On ink.  I used markers to color in the grass and road area and the blender pen to pull color into the white areas between the marker accent areas.  I used watercolor wonder crayons to color in clouds in the sky and the blender pen to pull the color from the clouds into the white areas between the clouds.  The watercolor wonder crayons and the blender pen were also used on the truck and it's passengers.  I used Shimmer Paint on the hub caps, bumpers, and door handle to add a bit of BLING to the truck.  So there you have it, one more option for those fabulous watercolor wonder crayons!

WEEK OF WATERCOLOR! - FRIDAY

Happy Friday Everyone!
Here is another wonderful watercolor creation for you.  Enjoy!
I love using my Aqua Painter and Watercolor Wonder Crayons together!  The results are so fantastic and it is just so simple!  Here I have used the Build A Blossom stamp set and inked the petal with Daffodil Delight ink, stamping out a flower shape.  Then I took my Aqua Painter and used it directly on my Watercolor Wonder crayon (Pumpkin Pie) pulling color directly off the crayon and painting the color in the open areas, and slightly into the stamped ink areas to add color to the center of the flower.  I stamped leaves and drew in a stem with my Old Olive marker and then used my Aqua Painter to spread the color around to give it the watercolor look.

WEEK OF WATERCOLOR! - THURSDAY

Can you believe it?  Thursday already!  Here is another beautiful watercolor wonder card for you!  Enjoy!
Stargazer Lilies are one of my favorite flowers!  Here I have used watercolor wonder crayons and a blender pen to create them from the lily line stamp in the fifth avenue floral stamp set.  I used Regal Rose and then a bit of Melon Mambo to create the inside color the stargazer lily is famous for!  I added a bit of Pumpkin Pie to the stamens to finish the flower off. More to come tomorrow!

WEEK OF WATERCOLOR! - WEDNESDAY

Here is another posting for my Wonderful Week of Watercolor!  Enjoy!
Add a bit of SPARKLE to your watercolor design!  Here I have done a simple watercolor flower using Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set flower, just a simple watercolor wonder crayon and blender technique and then stamped the image repeatedly with a Versa Mark ink pad and sprinkle wet ink with Heat And Stick powder.  Shake off excess and use your heat tool until powder is just melted.  Sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds glitter over melted powder and use embossing tool again to set....TA DAAAAAA! Don't forget to look at tomorrow's posting for more Wonderful Watercolor Ideas!

My Week of Watercolor WONDER!!!

I have finally had some time to play with my Watercolor Wonder Crayons and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!  They can make anyone look like an artist with such minimal effort. This is my week of Watercolor Wonder, so stay tuned for my postings each day this week.  I am so happy to share my creations with you!

MONDAY

This card I cased from a sample I saw on Split Coast Stampers.  (I am so sorry, I am no longer able to find the card to give credit to the person who created it).  I did change it a bit to use some different colors from our new In Colors, using a Lucky Limeade base and Island Indigo behind the flower windows.  The other colors on the card are So Saffron, Whisper White, and a Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon.  The technique used here is simply coloring in the image loosely with a Pacific Point Watercolor Wonder Crayon and then using a Blender Pen to spread the color around.  Such a very simple technique that yields such beautiful results.

TUESDAY

This is a very simple card I finished in about 10 minutes.  The card base is So Saffron and the other color accents are Old Olive in plain cardstock as well as DSP.  The image was stamped on Whisper White paper with Staz On ink and then Watercolor Wonder Crayons in Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie were spread with the Blender Pen. Fifth Avenue Floral was the stamp set used here.  It has really great line stamp images for watercoloring.  Stay tuned for tomorrow's posting, I can't wait to show you more wonderful watercolor examples!
